Stripped everything out and the simple crossmember system of the Metro meant 4 holes and the seat was in. A little fabrication of some brackets at the back to allow some angle at the front since the seats are the designed to be sitting upwards at the front a little, feeling like your sliding off otherwise.

I've decided the old girl will be staying standard and a Rover 100 will be bought in the next couple of months to be taken off the road and stripped for trackdays.

My main passion in life is Motorsport, and if I'm not modifying a road car to get power and handling then I can go beyond what I could normally do, ie: slicks, etc. I've considered it with this and having it on the road, VVC'd track car but it's way too tidy for that, immaculate infact, and being a GSi has all the extras.

If I can pick up a R100/Metro which needs the arches welding for a couple of hundred then I can take it off the road and build it up. We have a decent tow car, and with brands just 30 minutes down the road hiring a trailer is no problem.

With the carpets jet washed it's all come up immaculate. No decent photos since it was dark though.

Are you gonna be keeping Rita for road use or selling that to get the other 'trackday' one?

If you are selling it it might be worth taking some of the stickers off, little old ladies don't tend to go for Eat Sleep JDM stickers

Rita's most certainly staying as my road car mate!! I stripped her down fully, looked awesome, but it makes no sense to go through the trouble of converting to manual on the DVLA side of things, MOT trouble with it changing so much etc, and plus being a GSi it has all the extras that everybody adds to R100's anyway, so it'd be a bit rediculous to strip this down and then buy an R100 for the road.

On a serious note!!.. Cheers Dan Was good to see you outside of work too! And the Focus is awesome... but like you say, Clubby is the ultimate goal.
