hey craig i found a set of metro dampers (5 of them in red),
they've never been on a car (all the rubber bushes are perfect), my grandad had a metro years back and im guessing he pinched them from work (when he was at the rover).

anyway i found them and thought of you (slightly odd considering we've never met, you may noty even be real  )

it says they are Armstrong parts, for leyland cars - metro.
if they arent any use to you im going to stick them on eBay tonight (as its free listings).

Been doing a lot driving the tro and not a lot else lately! Im loving every minute of it!!!!! :)

I've bought another R100 for spares. I've bought a cherrybomb which sounds amazing and sprayed my dash trim white to brighten up the interior a little. :)

No I don't sorry mate, 14's are pretty rare for metros and don't come up for sale often :/ Keep looking though, some will come up soon enough :)

With thank's to Ben my car now starts on the key once again! :) Turns out the starting problem wasn't inhibitor related at all, more a Rover wiring problem under the bonnet...

It is too good in a few ways, but MK3 front or not to bring it up to a decent standard bodywork wise I need to replace both front wings because of the dents in them. The wings remained the same between the MK3 Metro and R100, the only thing that changes is the bumper, bonnet and headlamps. I've sourced a cheap front end and It's in nightfire red. If it looks as good as the R100 then I'll change it.
