As I stopped this old chap that looked about 85 climbed out in a very fragile manor, I walked over, and we exchanged high fives. Single best moment of my life so far. No words were exchanged, just a simple gesture of great choice in car, old and young

Hang on a sec here Craig, this old fragile person saw you walking over and he put out a hand without wanting to be too much trouble so you could help him get out and you high five him! thats like something Austin Powers would do! :teehee:

Smooth lid looks good by the way, but please don't do it on yours, 3 door yes but not on a 5, so I hope that was just some practise on photoshop, your also gonna be limited to make 5 door mods to look good like they would on a 3, save them for your 3

He's probably still stuck in the petrol station as everyone keeps walking past and giving him a high five? nice story though

Are you getting another one as I know you was thinking about getting one for 'fun' use like for the track and stuff, as good as that would be it will hit your pockets hard though.....

LOLLL!!! Yep! He probably is... poor guy!

I bought another R100 but it was WAY too rusty to steal anything from, let alone use for track use. Am on the lookout for a Mk3 Metro to use for track racing. It'll be a 1.4 twin cam running slicks, a cage (but nothing amazing), front and rear ARBS and a few other fancy bits. It won't be anything amazing, but it should be quick, and it means I can finally drive around the race tracks I've been visiting since before I can remember! Paddock hill in Metro = scary but win?

As for spectating, like you say it'll be good to finally be on the other side of the fence at tracks rather than just watching, and I'm not sure why you keep saying nothing amazing as any car with a few trick bits for the track is gonna be a win win situ? just remember though on the way back from the track when in your other car (rita) the road is not a racetrack :-

I followed this 'tro round brands, was funny watching it go round as 1: I couldn't keep up with it even with a stage 3 a-series and 2: alot of others couldn't keep up with it either!

As you know already thats not me infront of mine :) thats my mate who had just gone out for a pax lap in the 'tro, it belongs to Palmers Brothers, top guys, its running a k-series and was silly quick, they actually went back home halfway through the trackday to get it and like others I'm glad they did, made many a cars look silly that afternoon!

Keep at it

Don't worry Kam... I drive an Auto Metro! I drive like a complete and utter grandad, and with the Metro badge on the badge people don't seem to mind, the average Metro owners age is 97 I think...

I say nothing amazing because from the track days I've been too theres been plenty of Caterhams and other pocket rockets... hopefully it'll be pretty quick, but I'll be spending less than 700 on it, but being a non-road legal car I can have mods that will allow it to be a lot quicker without falling foul of the law.

I've seen that Tro! Been offered the wheels for 180!

I think cars look so much better without front number plates... Looking good though Craig, I like the mesh behind the grille.
