Changed the engine mounts, radiator, alternator, coil etc over and got engine lifted. bit quicker then i expected, engine is in. Engine mounts where a bugger, but are in. Everything is connected except exhaust, shaft rubber cone cover thingy ma bobs and carb.

The CV joint cups where a different size, only slighty. so we fitted the engine before noticing, we got em off tho, covering my drive and nearly me in a full (max) oil, but its done and its gone in fine now.

Will be giving it a test run tomorrow!!!

Workshop aka my garage pics below.

well it was ment to be taxed and go on road today or monday, but because i sent logbook off in my name and there was no green bottom part, my dad cant tax the car.

So when we get logbook back, i am gunna have to put car into dads name, and it can be taxed using green bit with his name on. Then i can also get insured on it, as its under my dads policy so he has to own vehicle, somet to do with "fronting" insurance.

So i expect afew week before logbook comes bk, before i can go on road with it.

Oh and i got my dad to take it down yesterday to MOT garage, they checked it over and he told my dad that he would pass it, but theres afew things which would need doing in next few months.

These points where,

Nearside rear arch is rusting and will be within 12" of structural area within afew months wivout treatment or replacing.

Boot floor needs patching (not mot requirement, due to subby) but it will spread if not delt with.

Put a note on the balljoint, which i am gunna do before it goes on road.

So all in all, i am pleased. The guy must have been a nice fella, my dad dunt like the mini's but he sed the guy loved it and aint tested 1 in many years. As for the bits above there the bits i thought it would come out as.

I'll get em welded in afew week, as £50 to do it is better then the car falling to bits.

£200 of welding, £60 engine, £40 wage to kane :D, parts such as balljoint kit and paints etc £30, £20 battery, £30 MOT charge

*edit* And £40 for the 10inch wellars when i go for em! *edit*

£380 in the car + road tax when i get logbook back. Not bad and i love it, i just wish i could go outside of my drive with it.

Next on the ajender is new front panel, wings and A panels. Anyone know a cheap garage within west yorkshire which will do the work as cheep as possible but i dunt want C**p fitting either? Or anyone who works on there own mini, willing to help me out by fitting me some panels, paid ofcourse.

Then a stage 1 kit, so i dont get as far behind when i go out with m8s in cars.

Where'd you get the lifting bracket Siggy?
Or do you work at a main dealer?

My local Rover dealer won't order special tools for me.

http://www.reaperpro...p?file=miniboot

Here u can see my headunit (no pics of it fitted, but it is.....fitted to lefthand side of heater under dash) and my current work in progress, boot install.

I wanted a tidy boot where i could place mums shopping etc, but not ontop of the battery n wheel. So i have made a board over the wheel and am currently making sides and bk of seats. It will all be carpeted black. I did front of fuel tank and its coming on well, think i may have a sub in the right hand side, not decided yet.

Got airhorns to fit today wooooo, yes i know they are illegal, this will be for private land etc.

Airhorns are legal as long as they don't play a tune, or a siren or anything.

I only ever use airhorns on Minis now, 'because everyone ignores the normal horn.

And why are you drilling the backbox?
