Hi,
Will the board settings be enabled so that you can enable/disable signatures and the amount of posts you see in each thread, or is it already there?

Thanks Josh

Edit: Even quicker way :P
Go to your name in the top right> Manage Ignore Prefs> tick the box at the very top "Ignore all signatures when reading topics " >Done! :)

Can't help on the other bit though :/

You can invite people to a conversation now instead of creating a new one.

Alternatively if you really want a new conversation and to pass over the pictures, you need to copy the bbcode for the message. You can do that by clicking reply on the message you want to copy and then copying the quote from the reply window. You can paste that in to a new PM to whoever you like you might want to exclude the quote tags though.

Yeah all it was I was trying to send part of a PM to someone that I had already sent to someone else, but the part had only some of the text/pictures I wanted, before yeah I would reply then copy what I needed and send it off, but this was not playing ball like before, did it now using maggies method above

As long as you got it sorted :).

No worries! If you're accessing from work, can you tell me what browser you're using there where the problem occurred?

Hi Deathrow, here is a screen print of what i see or dont see :ohno: , I am using Internet explorer version 7 (i think)

I would say that the problem most likely comes with the fact you're using Internet Explorer 7 which came out 5 years ago now. Probably not alot I can help you with there I'm afraid.

You can get portable versions of things like Firefox which will run off a flash pen on any computer.

"
Can you tell me what you don't like and why you think it's less user friendly? That way I can take your points in to account when I design the new skin. Simply saying "I don't like it." doesn't give me much to work with.

"

On the previous version I could see instantly, by colour code, what thread I had read, what thread I had replied to, what thread that I had replied to which now has a new post, etc.
Also....the thread previe was wonderful. ...just hover the mouse and the stard of the first post appears....I don't want to have to move over to the drop menu and have the first couple of posts show up.......
Theres more....but supper is cooking :-)

The first thing still works, it's just different to what you're used to.

Hate the picture handling, no wheel mouse gestures anymore, no more opening images in new window or tab. Pease make this go away :(

Mouse gestures? Where? What? When? Can you elaborate?

I've noticed when you click an image, it brings it up in a lightbox window, which I find a bit annoying myself. I'll probably find a way to disable that.

Can no longer use rick click to open image in new window, can't click the wheel mouse to open in new tab, just brings up the horrid lightbox window

My crap old laptop has XP home edition (I know!) and I can still see the pics on that so it must be a issue your end. I don't know if XP is older than IE 7 though as I'm on a Mac now so I've lost touch with windows, thank god

Firefox and XP for the win!

I like the new layout. I'm not one for change but I think it has been for the better. The only thing that relates it to Facebook is the like button and the colour blue.. I was gonna paint my mini blue but now I don't know because I don't want people slamming it for looking like Facebook ;)

I have just been on the mobile version for the first time and I have to say its brilliant! Very well done to all the people who have put their time into it. Thank you :)

It does work, aka the board is not broken. Which for the moment is all I am concerned about.

The icons which represent which forums topics you've replied to/read/etc. will be changed along with the skin but for that you're going to have to be patient.

I can't see why IE8 shouldn't work fine. This does suggest that it's another problem though. It could be the security settings that your browser is set to at work. There are many things that could be causing it on the client side but it's difficult for me to help you with.

I've disabled Lightbox now which removes JavaScripts involvement in the image processing. See if it works for you at work now.

I disabled Lightbox when I last replied to you, all those things work fine for me. Tested in IE9 and Firefox 8 (but no reason it wouldn't work in earlier versions too).

Not a problem Mark! At least we got to the bottom of it.

Maybe you could have a nice word with the IT tech and see if he'd be willing to allow access to Photobucket (that's the site that hosts images for most people on here) then you'd be sorted :).
