agree with above but personally would use a 3.6 or 3.7 diff
that would make first a bit low though so yes, close ratio box and it would fly
Id like to find a 3.1 diff for mine, ts a 1330 with 40DCOE and yet to put it on a rolling road. a 3.44 diff is OK but given its so quick to get to full RPM in top gear it gets quite boring quickly

Well the way I understand this power loss is as a percentage of the power at the flywheel..and its lost through the whole drive train, gearbox, diff, bearings etc...I mean if it was simply a 20hp loss on everything, what happens when you only have 20hp to start with...Ref AndyMiniMad's post ..........This crops up quite alot and I always look twice at it and wonder. My experience shows a 20 HP loss yess, which is 20% if you start off with 100 but surely if you started with 150 it would still be 20 hp would'nt it? and not 30.I assume that the loss would be constant what ever you do to the engine. Mine showed 70 at the wheels and RR'd operator said its 90 at engine so the 20 appears to be the figure to lose on a helical gears box. Not quite sure how he knew that,he did explain but I was so elated at the result that it went over my head!

1330 / Kent 276 / St3ish Head - Minisport Rollers 92 bhp / 82 ft/lb
I'm hoping some 1.5 rollers and/or megajolt will give me a few more as the RR operator said my dizzy was tired and not advancing enough (standard metro electronic)
