after selling my clubvan at MITP, i had cash burning a hole in my pocket and decided to go for another mini, this is what i found, and for the pricely sum of £1120, "pooey" became mine...

27500 miles on the clock, all original except the wheel arches, such a fantastic little motor is it, driving an auto for the 1st time was strange to say the least, left foot stabbing around for the phantom clutch pedal, but all good! heres a few pics

plans are to stick on some hi-lows, some banded steels, and maybe a stage 1 kit, and thats it! just drive it, maintain it, and enjoy it ;) hope u all like!

How clean is that carpet! Looks a smart one Lewis. Staying auto? Is it early enough '73 to get free tax?

yeah its stayin auto, makes a nice change n means i will get a fat left leg from so little use lol the pics make it look better than it actually is, the footwells are fairly patchy, there is some filler here and there, was re-sprayed about 4 years ago so its holding up well! the carpets were put in about a year ago, and its had hardly any use hence the clean carpets lol

unfortunaly its late '73, so not early enough for tax exempt :( £71.50 for tax this morning too! i have all the bits n pieces to get him back to mint though, ill prob weld in some new floors n such, but try not to mess the outside paint up to much as it looks spot on for the year, not bad though considering its nearly 40years old!

That's a great looking Mini. I , for one, am really pleased that you're keeping it auto, there's not many of that age left.

Oh wow I love it! Might have to ask you for some more photos if that's ok please so I can see the early 70s auto original styling.

It's beautiful and an absolute bargain

thanks for the positive comments guys! i was gettin out the mini scene, but circumstances changed and a house with a small garage came up to rent at the right price so decided i need a small car to fit in the garage lol so thought why not go for another mini, fits the bill, and i still have tons of spares! sorted!

Watch the opening 5 minutes of the new doctor who episode on BBC Iplayer. I swear It's your new car.

Glad to see that you came back, that was a very short break indeed.

haha it does look like mine, but mine dont go anywhere near as fast! and it doenst have the leyland badges on the a-panels like the one in doc who!

here are a few more pics, i fitted hi-los on the rear and dropped it down as it was riding way too high! i prefer the slammed look ;) waiting on the tyres though for my banded steels, they fill the arches perfectly as tested a rim while i was fitting the hi-los.. anyway... less dribble, heres a few pics ;)

tempted to keep the standard arches on, everyone goes for group 2s now, will have to see how it looks once the banded wheels are on, might even go archless, depending on how far the wheels stick out
