Thanks mate. Had a lovely hour this evening scraping all the rubbish of the boot floor. I swear someone has plastered underseal over the remnants of an old carpet!

Where did you get the stone chip shield paint from bud ?? is that what you sprayed under the shell ??

Yeah. Its the hammerite stuff in black aerosols. I primered first and then put it straight over the top. 2 coats nice and thick ;-) got it cheaper on ebay.

I've checked the old Haynes I have got (88 to 95, mark 3) but theres no pick of the thread. I'd expect it to be drilled through the middle for oil flow but it may be different.

Sub frame is looking good, should keep the old tin worm away fro a few years!

Thanks mate. After all the drama, i've found one. Ordered from Evans Halshaw for £7!! As much as i hate the Man and giving big corporates money i'm really glad they are there today....

This may well be up for sale soon, loads more work done to it, electrics finished and all welding done. Also has a full interior now. If anyones interested let me know...

Ok, so lack of interest in the sale and slight improvement in my circumstances mean i'm cracking on with this.....

Slow day at work so new balljoints done on one hub.... i'll do the other tomorrow!! mashed up one side of the lock tabs a bit.... but safe and sound.
