I agree it looks like it might have been more yellow, not sure about gold though.

Its listed as green on the logbook, although its also registered as a 2 litre, so may have been re registered at some point, so i'm not going to trust it as it might have been already really faded when the V5 was obtained/changed.

Where do you take your ignition live from? I know it runs to the coil, but its all been ripped out before, so i'm not sure. Can i take a live from the LH side of the fusebox and run that onto the black wire in the vauxhall loom??

Iv made my own loom in the end so i just made a fresh 12v fused ignition supply from the white wire on the steering barrel lock

Dropped the subframe today. It was new in 2005 and still has the heritage sticker on it, but it was badly painted and is a bit crusty. Bit of surface rust to sort on the underside of the boot too. (before any one points it out, one of the axle stands wasnt properly placed under the car- i noticed just before i crawled under.... glad i put those wheels there as insurance! All sorted now)

Started to clean up the radius arms tonight.... Also having problems finding the right size thread for the oil filter housing. I ordered a M18 threaded bar to make a new thread for the filter to screw onto but the thread is too coarse! Ordered another but its starting to get expensive......

Busy day yesterday, built up the subframe with a few new bits, brake lines, hoses, Alloy brake drums, hi-los and rubber cones.

And then a nightmare getting it back up into the car:

And finally back on its new wellers:

Shiny... but the old drum retaining screws that secured the old drums don't seem long enough for these new drums... strange, as they both had the built in spacer..
