On another forum I went on, you could edit the post whenever you wanted, but it added a thing called edit history, so you can click it to see what's been changed etc.

Can you link me the forum?

I cann give it a go, it was a while back when I used to be into mountain biking, there was a big classifieds so obviously helped resolve problems like op saying 'in great condition' selling it, reciever gets it, is in poor condition, op edited and changed it to 'okay condition' etc

It's much like the moderators have? As far as I'm aware they can see edit history?

Edit (phewww, made it within 10 minutes ;D) I believe it was vbulletin though, so probably no help

I know its not forum software but isnt that pretty much what ebay does after the bids have started?
