I'm an ale drinker but if I'm on the cider it's got to be thatchers Katy or thatchers heritage! We get it on tap out the barrel at our local!

Had the Cidre a coupleof times as my mates obsessed with the stuff. It does the job in the same way that strongbow does, but apart from thatchers gold and that thatchers one that looks like a bottle of cooking oil and tastes like kerosine (katy i think its called), i prefere a nice pint or 4 of stowford press. Havent seen it in many places though apart from the pub next door and a weatherspoons in Burnham-on-sea

Absolutely!!!... Pear Cider is an utterly ridiculous notion... It's as ridiculous as having Ribena without the blackcurrants ... I mean, imagine if someone were to come up with Strawberry Ribena for crying out loud...... oh hang on , wait a minute >_<

it obviously just a marking thing, i mean younsters are more likely to buy strawberry cider (for heavens sake) than a can of carling, its more "in".

I was suprised I liked it, to me tastes like a cross between stella and cider. Must get some in for xmas!
I like stuff chilled to but why do pubs always give you a whole glass full of ice and especially do if your getting a soft drink so they save on
how much coke they give you!

Boring I know but there are all sorts of licensing laws about making sure you get a set amount of whatever drink you get (thats why, in theory, when you don't have any ice at all, the drink sits lower down in the glass) also, with beer, most breweries will follow the 95% rule, ie. the beer/lager should make up 95% of the glass with the head making up the final 5%, the law says that the maximum allowed head is 7% of the glass. I'm done, you can all wake up now ;)

did you know the bubbles in your alcoholic drink come from impurities in the glass,

my misses used to work in one of the top restaurants in the country, and the number of rich people trying to show off infront of people they'd brought along was rediculous. they'd say their champagne was flat because it had no bubbles.

in a perfect glass you dont get any.
