I'm getting the iPhone 4s delivered tomorrow. I'm currently using a HTC Wildfire which is the first smartphone I had and replaced my old Sony Ericsson which had no internet or anything. I don't usually go for flashy phones but I was up for renewal and the iPhone 4s was available so I thought why not, it was free on the same contract cost I've been on for the past four years so I thought I'd give it a go. I've always got my trusty 5140 to fall back on if things don't work out.

My first phone was the mighty 5110 which, for the younger members, was far in advance of it's time because......wait for it......you could change the front panel for one of a different colour. Red, green, blue, purple, the options were limitless as long as you wanted solid colours (patterns came later on).

One of my old Nokia's had a clear plastic cover that could be removed with a specially designed paper cutter so you could make any cover you wanted! I loved that phone, and before that I had one that had rubber casing that split down the middle, it was "water resistant", I'd left it in the pocket of my jeans and my sister put them in the washing machine, when it came out, and I found it, I took it apart and left it on a radiator for 24 hours, put it all back together again and it worked fine!! Good old Nokia's nice and solid!

Claibo, I think that phone was the 5210, I had one as well. I used to drink beer out of mine and used to dunk in liquids all the time. Very robust. I even threw it and dropped it many times, nothing broke it. They came in blue or orange as standard.

Back in the day, Nokia were by far the best phones you could get. Gradually they lost their way though. Shame really.

Yes! That's the one, I remember throwing it at the ground for fun, watching it bounce but never break!
