I can't say i'm a perfect driver, I only get angry at drivers who seem to be driving slowly or annoyingly on purpose.

One time, i was in a courtesy car (a Toyota Prius), on a 60mph A road. There was a moped in front of me doing 30, and he seemed determined to block me from overtaking! he was drifting from left to right, it carried on for a good five minutes. Eventually i got angry, dropped back, then floored it. I gave him a beep for being so inconsiderate too.

When i did drive the mini, i never liked holding people up, so i'd try my best to drive at the limit, and get there as quickly as possible.

im not going to claim im the best driver cus ive not been driving very long but i at least obey the general rules of the road, the amount of people that will try to cut me up or 'bully' me on the road because im on R plates just takes the and im not even driving the mini yet, i find its more people in their big 4x4 cars that stick too close to your bumper but more just the SUV types, respectable 4x4's like landrovers dont do it. its not even young lads that seem to be the problem now, ive only ever had problems with some women, young girl drivers and old people.

on the subject of people being generally rude, i was walking down the street with a couple of mates, none of us are chavs or anything but a wee old woman sat at her window staring at us all so i waved at her and the ******* just did the finger to us and continued staring, i was not happy

rant over :)

Sod em' there's no rush, I felt like that at first, now I just think why ? I do the limit but don't rush to it as fast as I can. Only limit I don't always stay at is 70mph, I usually sit at 60mph.

It is getting bad.
I put it down to impatience, it used to be young lads/ white van man etc but now all groups of motorist seem guilty of irresponsible driving. My work hack is a (very) slow 106 diesel, I can't accelerate up hills with any great effect and it's a job to maintain a good speed on the motorway without sacrificing fuel economy; I get people so close behind me, it's unreal.

What these morons don't understand is, they have no chance at all of stopping if you don't leave a decent gap.. and are far too arrogant to listen to anyone who tries to explain this to them.

Just keep your gap to a safe distance, I'm afraind that's all you can do.

IF your not in the far left lane then i dont blame them if your holding them up.

IF you are in the slow lnae, then they should just overtake.

I dont get people.

Some days i think i have "PULL OUT ON ME" written on the bonnet.

"OH ****, MUST GET PAST THAT SLOW OLD MINI ITS GOING TO HOLD ME UP ALL DAY LONG"

I'm always in the left hand lane in that car- neither am I a 'middle-lane-hogger' either... the main problem is long A-road hills, only one lane on those..

I thought i would add my experience that happened a few months ago that really got me tense.

I was coming down a road and wanted to turn to the right 90 degrees onto another road so i could drop this lass off home. I checked my mirrors etc and indicated, i had noticed a car way up the hill in the distance behind me but there was a cyclist coming up the hill so i waited for him to get across. I started to turn and as i did i took a second look behind to find the woman was trying to overtake me on the right of me even when i was turning right and when there had been a cyclist going up the hill. So she braked hard, after i turned and pulled up to let my friend out. She pulled up along side and i expected her to say sorry and she started having a go at me blaming me? I knew i was in the right so me (forgetting i had my polite friend sat next to me) explained to her in plain English with some french words in too ;) why she was wrong. She suddenly realized she was wrong so muddled a few words out and sped off. I turned to my friend and her face was priceless :L

Yeah, I reckon a lot of the people being idiots would act a whole lot differently if they were confronted, or when they're out of their little steel bubble.

Maybe its because you drive like a girl!.......Hang on a sec, You are a girl....Only joking...there really is no excuse for being rude to other drivers.
Any more cakes?

I was recently tailgated by a Range Rover so closely that I couldn't see any higher than the bonnet in the mirror. I was doing bang on 40 in a 40 limit!

Not as good as when I was tailgated by one of those big yellow JCB tractors, like the one on Top Gear a few years ago. That was in a 30 limit too!! Now that was scary!

The other day some skinhead plonker overtook me at three times the speed limit and gave me the two finger salute out of his sunroof because i wasnt going quickly enough for him.

Some people should really be stripped of their driving licences, because they abuse them and don't appreciate them in the slightest.

When people tailgate me, I start driving even slower on purpose. Teach them to drive so dangerously.

I'm not going to break the speed limit just so you can get to your destination 30 seconds quicker.
