i think its only a matter of time before cameras are built into bumpers for recording purposes.

it'll start like the "black box" optional at first, but after some time it'll become compulsary.

Can't see that being popular with the dogging community.

Well i dont know... i imagine you would have your hands full the majority of the time and not be able to use a handheld camera :D

i said the camera would be mounted to the bumper, its hands free use...
if it had night vision like top of the range cars do, the the "doggers" would love it.

I've not owned a mini for long but my journey to work is getting a lot more annoying. No matter how fast I am going and no matter how much of a gap I am leaving someone always feels like they need to overtake or cut me up. Don't think I've slammed my breaks this many times. What is really annoying is once they have cut me up its not like they speed off allowing me to get on my way they simply limp off at normal speeds.

I think it's quite possible that we're not quite as visible today's roads. Cars are twice the size they used to be, so I can imagine it being quite hard to spot a classic Mini when you're 30 stories high in a "New mini". And look at the new 1 series BMW. Massive!

I drive with my side lights on during broad daylight, in hope that it's enough to help me be seen. Then again, it could be that we're living amongst a nation of *******.

Pfft, I ride a motorbike most days - you lot don't know the meaning of 'being pulled out on' :D

No-ones hit me head on whilst in the mini, no-ones nearly side swiped me and no-one tried to share a single lane with me.

Yes maybe slightly more vulnerable looking than the average car, but if you are getting upset with the metal box around try being on two wheels without seatbelts or doors :D

Of course, annoying drivers are everywhere. In central london though, pedestrians are worse.

I find the tailgaiters usually hit traffic earlier though ;) just drive for yourself :)

I had a great drive home blasting the A roads over saddleworth moor yesterday doing a good 60-65, so holding no traffic up , then caught upto a convoy of 4 artic lorries, so hung back so I could see the oncoming traffic beside them. Its a shame a kamikaze BMW tried to overtake me on it , nearly slamming straight into an on coming truck, as he was that close to my rear, he couldnt see the traffic approaching >_<

never underestimate a Mini haha :P

I often get chavved up grot boxes up my backside as Im pootling to work, I know the road very well however and I can soon make them eat my rust when I put my foot down, they get very upset they cant overtake me and Ive left them behind

I was following a 1.9tdi vectra to work last night and it would scream off in a straight line but I would have to brake so I wouldnt go into the back of them on the corners, some people really need to learn how to drive

Oh also, theres a 5 miles stretch of straight road with a very very staggered cross road (ok bout half mile apart junctions) but I always get someone pull out in front of me crawl along then pull into the next junction. It really pee's me off as sometimes I have to really slam my brakes on they look very shocked when I overtake them at the speed limit tho, like where did he come from?

Idiots

i know what you mean a while back me and my mates were out for a drive me in my 998 them in there new focuses and fiats when a load of girls in other cars started following us.they all had 1.2s and 1.4s but the girls would go around each corner at like 20 mph this is on a national speed limit lane so they would fire off then id catch up and have to break because they would slam on the anchors
