Bloomin eck no lie in then!
Yup.... I think I've got a run T-shirt somewhere, from about ten years ago or so, that has the slogan....
"London to Brighton Mini Run - How Early???"

well ive entered the concourse by accident thinking it was only abit of fun sounds crap if you have to head off before every one!
Well that's certainly how it used to work, I've not entered in the official run for a few years now, but the concourse entrants used to get special tickets that said "Show & Shine" (or similar) on them to allow them to go to the front of the line and set off early before everyone else.
Things may have changed I suppose??

In 2009 I did not get out of CP until after midday but there had been the Guinness Book (successful) World record attempt plus various problems including a non-mini crash outside CP. 2010 was also slow.
Last year the departures started a little before 8.30 and moved quite fast out of CP. In theory the last cars leave at 10.30am. It can take quite a long time to get to Brighton as the Sunday morning traffic builds up and progress at the Brighton end is slow.
Some people avoid CP and get to Brighton early and leave as most are still arriving but it seems pointless to me if you do not join the run. I can understand people doing that if they have a long drive home.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Thursday dry with bright or sunny spells, after a chilly start. Friday will be breezy, and feeling cold even with bright or sunny spells. Saturday cloudy with outbreaks of rain.
UK Outlook for Saturday 19 May 2012 to Monday 28 May 2012:
Unsettled weather looks set to continue, with outbreaks of rain or showers and mostly cloudy conditions. Southern parts of the UK perhaps seeing the heaviest rain this weekend and into the start of next week, with a risk of some thunder and lightning.
Could be better, could be a lot worse.

What do you reckon I should take with me? I'm not staying over night but should I bring things like spare fuses and stuff - just in case??
Never done the run before so am interested to know what people take?
