travelodge appear to have run out of paint when decorating the room, I think the complimentary straight jacket is under the bed and the walls may be padded

Too late now no doubt, but I'd cut across from Stirling to Glasgow (M80,A80,M73) then down the M74 onto the M6. The top end of the A1 has too much traffic & speed cameras to be much fun.

Got the car and its all looking good, drives like a dream and everything so far works, even the heater as long as you don't mind driving in a sauna

and then there are the views.......the A95 to Aviemore is simply stunning, even narky teenager now has a BIG grin on his face

dam, ignored TOMTOM and went for the A1, its the A68 rollercoaster for me soon.....will try and post again if we can find some wifi
