Good question Sam, but I think you can probably guess why........you know how funs been band around here now?I'm asking for a genuine reason for this in the open forum as I am not the only one that oftenly posted in the topic, so come on then, why's it been closed? What was wrong with leaving it open?

Its a fine line between being a classic car based forum and allowing a bit of fun, yet not turning into something like facebook
Having said that, having an ''Off Topic Banter'' section yet moderating it comes down to a moderators personal view as to whats acceptable and what isnt ....as long as its not rude, offensive, and all language is kept in check my mind says leave it alone, the people wanting mini advice arnt going to look for it in there anyway
But I'd rather have it moderated than it not there at all....

you can change your settings to completely avoid topics from certain areas of the forum, unless im very much mistaken.Mini silver bullet has hit the nail on the head.
