I'm planing on adding a scoop that directs cold outside air to the air cleaner, same with the oil cooler.

that's a good idea, I have them scoops in my back windows, this way you don't have to weld and cut the body. If you need pictures I can make some, I use them for my intercooler though.

Yes, I would love to see your pictures. I want one scoop on each side, one for the air intake and one for the oil cooler on the other side.

Well there's a slim chance I could get my car Friday. But most likely it will be the 1st of next week.

Hy,

here's one, I tried to zoom in on the existing picture, so quality isn't ok. I will go and make some others when I get to my car.
There is a little frame at the end of the window scoop with 2 big (120mm?) tubes around the holes you can see in the picture, those are connected to another frame over the intercooler, so all of the cold air goes right on top of the intercooler, you can lead yours to your points where you need cold air, works like a charm.

and enjoy the new car...or the parts which should become your new car, very curious after your first pics and the rest of the build!

I haven't go a clue, I didn't build the car, I have too less patience for that sort of thing...Maybe this "custommini's" guy on this board knows, it seems he knows the builder of my car in person...I have contact with the builder, but not really often.

I am afraid it is custom made for this car though, I have never seen it on an other mini, so I guess it's not bought just like this.

I've seen other scoops like that and have done internet searches but haven't been able to come up with anything. Please let me know if you find anything out.

If you go for window ducts, keep in mind the way air flows around a Mini body shape that the ducts need to be REALLY deeep - at least as deep as the ones on Johanmini's post. This is speaking from experience. If yo uwant another point of refernce, take a look at Chris Allanson's Monte once he turbosharged it - the intercooler duct sticks AT LEAST 6" out, if not more from the window.
