Hi guys! After leaving a car meet the other i caught my exhaust on a small speed bump at low speeds!
At first it was alright! But was much louder! I could tell what happened! Pulled in a little way up and the whole link pipe back box and y piece was on the floor in the middle of the road!!
Luckily my mate nick was behind at the point!!
Just wondering if any of your cars has done the same!?
Also do you like the sound of it just coming out from the manifold ;-)

Chris!

Sounds worse than a tractor when its just coming out the manifold :L

I half ripped mine off getting it on a trailer and completely ripped it off getting it back on for the trip home. Good excuse to get an RC40 ;D

mines fallen off around a dozen times, due to poor engine mounting mainly.

yup, mine snapped off at manifold due to poor bushings in the stabiliser and mini_mad69 have you not considered an extra engine steady bar?

It had 3 extra ones. With poly bushes in the standard ones.

i remember being in my dads 1275 gt when i was a nippa and watched out the back window as the exhaust was left behind.
My manifold also let go once as i was overtaking someone on a B road. sounded awesome, but i lost power and took ages passing.
I also started my engine without the exhaust once as i didnt have one then. sounded like a drag car.

Mine fell off on the M5 northbound! Thankfully the rear hanger didn't give way, else I'd have had a big bill to repair the big exec car following me at the time. I've had various knocks to the exhaust but the only other time it fell off was crossing the humpback bridge over the driveway of my friends house. The whole lot came off from the down-pipes back. Complete pain to try and refit.
