A '70s roadcar would have vinyl roof, Wolfrace or Cosimic wheels, Wood and Pickett nudge bars, kind of like this

I've been sorta thinking of vinyl roof, but I'm going to go 70's racecar look I think. I love the Longman clubby look, but don't want anything quite so bold.

I think I might even print up some magnetic decals, then try them on one side before I go for it. I think some big wide stripes down the side, similar to Britax style, but maybe a little wider, with red/white/blue in them may be cool. Sorta somewhere between Britax and Longman/Patrick's job above. :D

Thanks for the inspiration, keep it coming! ;)

Slotmags!!

They are the greatest wheel ever made.

Rear window louvre, paint the body dark purple(black tulip) and do the scuttle/roof/door tops silver(maybe gold and powder coat the wheels gold)

Mmmmm!!!

My long gone 1972 Mini Mk3 photographed around 1979 (the custom car era!)............6 x 10 Cosmic Slot Mags, (previously had 5 x 10 Wolfrace Slots) 165/70 Goodyear Rally Specials, Tilling smoke-tinted glass, pop-up glass sunroof, roof aerial, Vandan Plas 1100 headlamp rims, Canadian export side marker lights and Wood & Pickett Nudge bars!

Won 'best modified' at Chris Cheals first ever National Mini Owners Club day at Twycross Zoo in 1979 and was also on the Mini Cooper Club stand at Earls Court Classic Car Show show the same year and the following year at Beaulieu 21st Mini Birthday celebration in 1980........there were not many Mini shows back then!

Goodyear Rally Specials (tarmac type) no longer available and very rare to find now, probably the first 165x10 Mini tyre that could be used on the road..
