Forgive me but why would you have linked me mate - you made your won loom :)

Have you got it running yet?

Its ok, someone was saying how they will make there own loom so i suggested that if they didn't fancy tackling it themselves then you would be able to sell him one.

Not yet no, still waiting for my Stage 3 head to be completed. Thats all im waiting for now so hopefully next week i should get it back and fingers crossed it should all start without any problems.

I plan on filming it on the first start and on the first run which i will post the video on here.

Will be interested as its a similar spec to mine, have you had the weber jetted yet?

Cheers for the mention though - much appreciated :)

Well currently the weber has the following settings...

Pump Jet - 40
Main jet - 115
Emulsion tube - F11
Air corrector jet - 200
Chokes - 30
Aux venturi - 4.5
starter jet - 100 F5
idle jet - 45 F9
needle valve - 175

which when doing some research is the same as they supply a new weber 40 with from minisport.

But i have another Idle, and main jet ready to try when its running.

Im going to see how it runs with its current settings and then save up to get it Rollin roaded, they quoted me just over £200 for a RR session to set the weber up, thats without them doing the megajolt at the same time.

Just out of interest, do you have the settings of your weber?

They dont look the same as my jets so I will whip them out tonight and let you know.
When i went for 1275 to 1330 the jets actually got smaller - mine was running nearly 90 bhp without the big valve ported head and MJ - so should be close to 100bhp now. Certainly feels b*****d quick!

That would be great thanks. Is there any chance you could email the Megajolt MAP you use? Ive wired in the option button and plan on testing afew others ive downloaded to see which is best and as you have a similer spec it might be ideal. I can PM you my email address if you can.

Ok, todays plan was to get the plenum fitted to the car which i have done.

Decided to change my mind about where i fitted it as i would have had clearance issues around the exhaust manifold/Engine steady/Rad hose area.

Because i was moving it i had to try and find more elbows which luckily i had.

Heres one with the weber where it will be so you can see how its all going to go.

Thought ide give you an update...

Yesterday i received my head, (see images here) and cracked on with getting it all together.

I didn't manage to get any videos of it starting as it was dark and i was keen to just get it running.

Bearing in mind i hadn't tested any of the Megajolt system before hand, i was kinda apprehensive.

After checking everything over, Oil pressure, fuel supply, water and oil levels, plug gaps i cranked. And Voila!! It burst into life.

Now the carbs not set up or tuned yet but it runs fine at part throttle and after changing the Main jets from 114 to 140's it runs alot better with more throttle.

Its loud, i mean very loud and sounds awesome.

Not really sure where to start with the map settings thou, its currently running the standard map without the Aux temp connected for the Advance correction.

Gonna be using it all week to get to and from work to see how it runs, so im confident to take it to brooklands on sunday.

I will get a video uploaded as soon as i can of it running and me driving it about.

Been using the car for quite some time now, running fine on the standard MAP which comes supplied with the unit.

The headgasket went this morning which was a pain.

The Webers running abit rich as its not set up properly but still goes well.

Went out for a drive on sunday and managed to get some footage from inside my car, only a short section but you get an idea.

Videos is here

Cant remember if i had posted anything since the forum rewind...
Anyway i know someone posted about wanting more info on the advance correction.
I havent used it yet... it doesnt really need it. When starting from cold all it needs is afew pumps of the pedal to help start and after a few mins it runs ok.
Ive also finally booked up a RR session for the 27th and im gonna be cheaky and see if i can film using the gopro while there doing it. will let u know the output.
