A trace thats tracked to Mcdonalds on an old now unused phone

I do get your point, but it would be easy to set a username up with no lead and false info

Clean ups arnt a bad idea though, bet theres loads not in use

Do any of those Insurance & Polizia approved trackers lower your insurance premiums too?

Am putting serious thought to these for my 'tilda & Tommy.

Yes most trackers lower insurance

Have been on phone to tracker company today, they are cheaper than i thought!!

£250 fitted with a years subscription.
Or for one that tracks automatic if the car is moved without the engine running for £360 fitted and either £149 a year or £310 for lifetime subscription.

Once it's switched on any Police car can follow it

That it not true. The car has to be fitted with the equipment.

Well obviously yes but there are an awful lot that are fitted. You wouldn't want an area car finding it anyway. Traffic cars, response cars and motorway cars tend to be fitted with the system.

Been doing a little research and have ordered a multi-band tracker. Also most of you know mini locks aren't the hardest to open, but have found this little beast that i may order from the USA to have a look at :)

that does look like a good idea except that minis are more likely stolen to sell on these days, Its not hard to replace the windscreen/windows on a mini so really they would just smash the window, steal the car and then fix it later. prob a waste of money, only good to stop people breaking into the car to rob things inside it, even then they would might smash the window as well.

Looks an awful lot like the kind of garbage that gets sold at car shows to be honest, judging by the website. Similar to the ignition ball, fuel catalyst and all that other hocus pocus.

Im in Detroit, I'll look into this autobolt and get back to you all. Warren is close enough to drive too. The thing is if they want it, their gonna get it. All we have an do is make it harder for them to do it via security and awareness. My Mustang was stolen right out of my back yard and the steering rack was broken, yet they still managed to somehow get it out of my yard with no steerimg.

Also you have to make a minimum number of calls on a PAYG phone to keep it active.

In my previous job, i used to fit trackers in vehicles. We used units that took a sim card. The sim cards were data only ( ideal for trackers ) and were £5.00 + vat from O2 per month.

The trackers had battery back up which lasted for 3 days. The company could track your vehicle but you could also dowload the software onto your pc for real time tracking.

The downside is as they used sim cards they relied on signal to work.
