An hour later and I had stripped and cleaned the muck off most parts...

Just got to wait untill I can get some thinners to clean them up properly!

I need to sort out the Jet fuel line that has been attched with some sort of sealant to the float bowl?

I know what I will be doing next week :)

I boight them off someone on here, they have been restored and only run on the car, he was struggling to set them up.

Everything was only finger tight and the bowls were moving around and everything.

So I thought I would start from scratch and make sure there are no air leaks.

One piston was struggling to move so that needs sorting.

If a job needs to be done, it has to be done properly.

Can't stand putting things on the car that havn't been cleaned or had the old fuel wiped out.

Lower down acceleration is what I want them for.

It is only worth it if you have a better head, idealy cam but I have the 12g295 head and stage 1.

Just want some more go.

they do make the car a bit quicker but the main difference is the increase in torque, the bottom end pulling power is really impressive, and our mini is loads better on fuel than the old HS4 that was on it before, we got to bingley hall and back (nearly 90 miles) on £8 of fuel.

Thats what i was thinking really, thats all im fussed about, well im running a stage 3 head, racing valves n springs, so...not an issue really
