Makes sense, £800 seems a fair price really, but keep looking around and i'm sure there'll be a little leverage in that :P

But keep me updated anyway, would love to see the result :P

Hi. My profile pic is the car before I took her apart/she fell apart. That is the colour she will be sprayed when she's ready but ill keep you informed. I will start a thread on here nearer the time of her being done. It's taken me ages to get her to the stage she's at now as I am very lazy! Haha. Not really, due to work commitments etc. I do have a website though. I think there's a link on my profile. Keep up the good work.
Joe

Looking very nice!
Seeing the car in a new colour is always a real booster. You're working and working but progress always seems so slow until it's ready for paint...
But then... when that coating goes on you suddenly get that YEAH! thing going again. And you can't wait to get it on the road.
Happened to me last year when my Mini's paint went on, Aconite Purple. Going from project to car in about 1 hour..

Keep up the good work! And I hope it drives as good as it looks.

My car went from this:

Been very busy!

Sound insulation, check!

Layers are as follows:

Factory
Silent Coat 2mm
Thick carpet underlay
Felt Soundproofing
Carpets

Hopefully that will at least make some difference! the silent coat is excellent stuff, maybe a little pricey but very easy to work with & well worth the investment!
