Yeah I think there was a bit of a misunderstanding there. I'm not saying there should be different rules for the rich and poor. I'm not suggesting they should get different punishments etc. But if there were enough drugs only for one person, I'd rather the person who has millions get them than the guy on the street who is going to steal your stuff so he can pay for them. I'm also not suggesting that all people steal stuff for drugs.
I have no problem with people being anti-drugs and not having sympathy for her, I myself don't really have much sympathy for her. While it's sad for her friends and family but it has absolutely no impact on my life whatsoever. I think there is always an outporuing of grief from the public when any celebrity dies - far too much so in my opinion, but thats just the way it is.
It does seem that most people are just bothered about dragging up any dirt they can on someone when they die though. Although it wasn't my cup of tea, she produced a lot of music which was very popular.
I'm sure plenty of rubbish songs were produced when artists are high on drugs. But some of them also produce plenty of rubbish when they are not high as well.
Drugs will always be a very divisive subject, as will many things.

Turns out it was prescription drugs.
In regards to the previous comments about doing drugs, once you switch from street drugs to prescription drugs, you are dead. It's so much easier to OD on meds and alcohol; sleeping meds and pain killers are a death sentence for an addict to switch to.
The lesson here: Keep doing street drugs kids!
Interesting fact(..ish, don't know exact numbers), The US is 5% of the population and uses 56% of the worlds pain killers.
