Can't you buy a new one off Wood and Pickett for something like £25,000?

EDIT:£26,000 O_O http://www.woodandpi...rs-for-sale/17/

Wow, I love the dials on that! I'm not so taken by the leather surround, or the £26k either for that matter!

Don't forget - if you build one from scratch you'd have to worry about registering it. Am I right it saying it would have to sit on a 'Q' plate?

On that note, is it still a 'Q' plate, if it was built after September 2001? Is there a new style 'Q' plate?

Ask for "Dave" and the delivery is free, though you'll have to wash his windows for the next three weeks. It's not so bad because his wife is hot.

No. If it is built from 100% new parts, and you have receipts to prove it, then it can be registered as a new car. eg if you built one this year, you could register it in March on a 12 plate.

I believe the ones Wood and Pickett build are registered on new plates.

surely if its a 'new car' it has to comply with 2012 safety regs and the mini was struggling in the 90s with this so theres no way it would pass now?

They've been trying to sell those since 2009, and they were only going to make 50. I've only ever seen the demonstrator.

I like their dash, but who would pay £25K for what is essentially a new MPi mini?
