The idea of running into an amp is a good one. I had a stereo not dissimilar to yours with a line in and the quality was appalling.
I run an RCA photo line-in to a cheap amp and while the quality is not spot on (because i have cheap speakers), its tonnes better than what i had before.
This way, it'll look like an old radio, act as a volume control but will sound a bit better and be adequately loud enough!

Really not worth the money. The radio trasmitter always sound cack!
And i think 99% of them work on FM as its used for everything else.

Yeah theyre all FM, like i say, run it into an amp, i run 4 speakers off of a line in and it sounds fine. Its not super duper quality but its better than a mono radio would sound on its own!

have gone for easy option and bought a vintage 70s radiomobile tape player ! just use the tape converter thing then
