I haven't use the 'ose since for washing the cars. You can also carry it wiv you for 'emergency' de-crudding.
(V useful when wanting to transport mountain bikes back from a sticky ride).

we own a hose pipe but don't have a tap inside or outside to fit it to

apparently you can use a hose to:
wash your caravan, trailer or motorcycle, but not your car!!

water the vegetables in your allotment, but not in your garden!!
