Looks good m8! very clean! hope that stops clearance issues and you can crack on with bigger better faster bits

cheers for your comment, i honestly hope thats enough, it makes me think that maybe bulkheads are a slightly different shape on mk1 bodies, if its not enough ive had a suggestion of relocating the actuator by modifying the mount

Nice idea, but Mike has the car off road at the moment getting the Turbo head machined and ready for fitting. while it is all off, he will also be facing the manifold mating surfaces to stop exhaust leaks. Hopefully, the next thing will be to rebuild the original turbo block once he has everything else needed to do it. I think, once he has the crank and some new shells, the only other thing needed will be a replacement clutch boss for the one we had to cut in half to get off and a new clutch. I think the flywheel is ok, so the only other things to check are the the bore/rings etc and camshaft and bearings. With a bit of luck, he should have it ready for next seasons shows. but until then, its low boost LOL

few little updates in the past month or two including last install of the wrapped manifold and turbo unit and plumbing of the stainless pipes to the twin capacity Renault 5 intercooler - I made the little brackets for the intercooler to bolt to the inner wing and had them welded by alpha welding in Croydon (top bloke if you need him), mocked up the plenum piping and that's been sent to the welder also. the crusty alternator has been changed since though

ive also put all the switches and buttons on the morris minor dash including the fuel pump

back lights and number plate fitting all attached now

just a bit of advice for anyone who ever takes apart a mk1 - KEEP EVERY SINGLE NUT, BOLT, AND SCREW. it took me a while to locate everything new but when I did this place is the one stop shop for mk1 parts and they are really helpful
