Friggin nora batty that looks amazing :) big thumbs up.

With the inside though how did you go about it I ask.

Did you sand it all down with differing grades of paper or just spray the primer over the old paint then put the top coat on?

Nice job fella, is this your first mini rebuild? Just noticed your the same age as me but your mini seems to have gone better than how my mini is looking at the moment! Doing my floor at the mo and its a pain in the arse! Just endless rot and spot welds. Anyway good luck with the 3 weeks, if i lived nearer i'd give you a hand.

Thanks for the offer of help. Its still touch and go whether or not i'll make it. I'm still doing everything properly i'm just making sure i'm as organised as possible. This is the first complete rebuild, i have done a partial rebuild inc. sills, a panels and floor pans on my old clubman. I've also rebuild my mk1 escort which had its fair share of rot but having the right tools makes everything alot easier. A mig welder with a big bottle of gas, spot weld drill, i've also got 2 grinders one for cutting the other set with flap discs all make the job that much easier.

Also with regards to the inside, i've borrowed a really good orbit sander and just rubbed the whole lot down with 240 grit, filled all the little holes in the load bed with filler, flatted that back with 120grit then 240. Primed it all used stopper in the little holes and then just blew it over with a few coats. I'm definately one of those if you can't see it when its built then don't bother getting it perfect kinda guys. Waste of time in my opinion :).

Just got to sort out a few small issues like the doors not fitting, headlining and a few leaks but mot some time this week and then tax and i'll be on my way to brighton. Even found a spare ticket so should be all good :).

Well the MOT didn't quite go as planned, passed on everything lights, brakes, bushes. As he drove it over to do emissions the needle valve started leaking and started pissing fuel everywhere. So he failed it surprisingly. I had a spare carb at home so fixed it in the time it took to undo 3 screws and a fuel clip but was to late to take it back. Soooo... MOT retest friday and Crystal palace on saturday. What could possibly go wrong :)
