Try to keep it off the paintwork. Have a large bucket of water handy to wash it off, if necessary. You don't want bare metal on your bulkhead, and hydraulic fluid is an excellent paint stripper.

Good luck with the dismantling. On an ordinary Mini it is an easy job.

hydraulic fluid is not that strong you could leave it for a hour and nothing will happen, think my brother told me it take about 8 hours to brake through the paint and if it rains it will wash it off, he paints cars and they did it at collage so don't panic if you get it on the paint but it will be better to wash it off sooner rather than later

got a bit on my engine bay earlier and got a watering can on it instantly then wiped it all :D

another stupid question... what do i put bk in the master cylinder

bah can't get my wratchet nr the left hand bolt, some metal pipes in the way ffs

pipes from the pressure regulating valve.. this is just never easy and straight forward.

ffs slave cylinder is fine piston movement is fine it's the clutch it's self I think....

..... managed to remove the big plastic piece of **** in the engin bay at last so i could get in there with a screw driver and hammer

3 short smacks with hammer and screw driver against big bolt and voila done......

my god that was so stupid

I actually drilled an hole in the inner wing level with plunger to do that before so easy if it happens again

shoulda got it completely reshelled but didn't realise how much rust there was until it was too late :P resprayed and what not aswell

DO THEY REALLY TEACH YOU/BROTHER AT COLLEGE THAT BRAKE FLUID IS FINE IF LEFT FOR HOURS ON PAINTWORK?
