Had the same problem with a freinds mini,
Remove the 2 small bolts holding the ecu bracket (not the posi drive screws as you cant get to the last one) manouvre it out the way and when you can see the clutch arm tap it with a small soft faced hammer towards the slave cylinder and it will return to the engaged position, now apply a generous spray of wd40 or similar all over it and see if you can work the clutch using the pedal, if you can push it once then it goes solid again repeat the tapping it back and try working the clutch again,

sounds a bit primative i know but worked a treat for me and it saves removing the clutch etc.

Hope this Helps!

the plunger on the clutch is a pain but a nice long bar and a tappin stick, then a goos squirt of brake cleaner and wd40 on the plunger

less than 2cm between the panel and the plunger thing

can't get hammer in there and bar just starts to crack the fresh air inlet

You are barking up the wrong tree anyway. Nothing that responds to WD40 etc happens overnight. If it was ok one day, and locked solid the next, it is not just rust or lack of lubrication. And, there was no way that bleeding was going to cure it if it was locked solid.

You need to do some dismantling of the clutch mechanism for a look, not pointless hammering.
