Thats not too bad. Fingers crossed!
Otherwise, anyone tried a blackbox/tracker? I've heard they drop the prices dramatically and you get money back for being good.

Is that a tracker you've added yourself or the insurance added?
some companies put a box in to make sure you behave.

no would be a location tracker not the black box ones which record you speed and where you go to much like big brother that is for me

I did think that, but with insurance prices the way they are and mini's being targeted for theft more and more, its something I'd be willing to do

So what was the cheapest price you got?
and with Graham Sykes was that fully comp? I've got a 998, am 17 and am trolling around like you are for insurance

They were all shut by the time I got around to looking, sorry!
I'll be back on the offensive tomorrow so will be sure to let you know. Graham sykes was Tpft.
It did also say on the co-op website they couldnt quote me on the tracker policy due to my car- The tracker works via GPS so it'll most certainly work in a mini, I'm hoping its down to the website only being able to deal with certain variables. Endsleigh also told us that if I was a smidge older, seeing as my mom is with them they could do me a better price, but for the now she just said 'put it this way, It'll be rediculous'
Stupid aint it

I am 17 and have just insured my city 998 for 2100 with graham Sykes, a couple of tips i would say is definitely get yourself a club membership as this gave me some discount with them and another thing i noticed is when on websites such as go compare, putting in third party got quotes like 5000 however when i changed it to fully comp the best i found was 2800 on that site i know that still too much but you may want to try it while ringing round?

i had this problem as well, i turned 17 with my 1992 sprite which obviously was a 1275cc. i had the problem of having to go on my own policy and was unable to be a named driver as the car was registered in my name. concequently the cheapest quote i could get fully comp (which for some strange reason always seems cheaper) was aprox £2300 which is what i had to pay
however i have been driving a year now and my renewal came through at £1400 but after shopping around with my years no claims got my insurance for £700. so i recomend you dont crash in your first year! :L
