i hate ray, he is a fat turd that is an expert in survival?? doubt that he could live in the wild for more than a week, where as bear has S.A.S training and wouldn't be afraid to get a good meal. also he has the same nick name as me :D

wasn't Ray a SAS survival trainer ?

skill envy  obviously ray doesnt need to take as vast risks at bear in the 1st place because he thinks thought his action plan, so he doesnt get as deep in to trouble.

ray is small minded as he resorts to "bitching"

quote from ray "Bear Grylls is a showman, and a boy scout"

where as bear acts his age and is sensible "He’s a great guy and he does a great job and it’s so silly to get into a silly catfight"

I'd rather have jeremy clarkson by my side, I saw him warm a broth on a open fire on the side of a scotish mountain the other day, that and he always has a great support team and good cars.

Bear Grylls annoys me because half the time he violates survival rule number one by putting himself at risk. I've had a fair amount of survival training and I'd get rid of Bear straight off as my biggest liability. Survival is most of the time a slow methodical thing that means minimises the risks to yourself and conserves your energy. what Bear does might make for entertaining watching but it should be considered strictly entertainment.

Ray Mears DOES train the army in survival techniques just like the bush-tucker man (Les Hiddins). Anyone see the episode where Ray met Les? (in Arnhem land from memory). Les didn't half look old - you don't realise how old his programmes are until something like that puts it into perspective.

Ray is also mates with a lot of Ghurkas. A big guy with a knife might be scary bit a little guy with a big knife and a manic grin is scarier.
