I have waited in all day for a Parcel from Amazon as tracking said it was out for delivery. This meant cancelling plans as it was originally due for delivery Monday. Then to cap it all the lying driver has said he attempted delivery at 18.10. Well thats a bit strange as I was washing the car outside my house and didn't see him, my two dogs who can hear a squirrel fart at 400yds heard nothing and my wife doesn't recall our (loud) doorbell going.

I am seriously annoyed - mostly because its a present for our 5 year old and we told her it was coming today (as we put off a pub lunch with father in law so had to tell her as she was wondering why she was missing out). One very unhappy little lass and one seriously annoyed father. I wouldn't mind if there was some problem - its the lying that annoys me. To add insult to injury the help line is a premium rate number and is answered with 'average waiting time is longer than 10 minutes'.

So if you hear of Yodel Couriers doing a delivery for you, be aware.

This was covered on Watchdog a few weeks back, some pretty shocking things captured on camera.

I've been using yodel for months without problems for months... until this week!

I bought stuff on ebay and arranged my own couriers to pick up yesterday-

*The first one was a set of wheels. When they arrived, apparently they said there wasn't enough room in the van, and he would pick up today... He didnt show!

*The second, two big boxes of random stuff. Apparently he refused to take them, for no reason, and he was rude and offensive to the guys wife!

WHAT ARE THEY PLAYING AT?!

WHAT ARE THEY PLAYING AT?!

My thoughts exactly, its the first time I have had dealings with them and it will be the last as I won't order anything that comes with them.

i get just as much trouble from royal mail. they even returned an item to sender after supposedly trying to deliver twice (no red card through door) the reason they gave to the sender, the addressee no longer lives there

I've never had a problem with royal mail, ever! (I send stuff every week)

From now on I'm going to be using city-link. it's always the same bloke and he never has a smile, but the item arrives AND on time!

They fail time and time again. At Christmas they just returned parcels as undeliverable without attempting to do so. Waste of time they are!

I have spoke to Amazon and they said ther were aware of issues and are reassessing theer current arrangement. The lady I spoke to was incredibly helpful and I got the feeling that she was aware of a lot more complaints but couldn't say anything. I have cancelled the order and will go out tomorrow and buy one. Should have done that in the first place, but tried to save a few quid.

I will never use yodal again. Ive had nothing but problems with them. City-link are very good though, Usualy pay for 48 hour delivery but almost always gets there within 24 hours. I only use royal mail for small items (letters etc) but have had a few problems with them.

I'm waiting for a pair of seats to be delivered by yodel... the day they were meant to arrive, they actually picked them up. So the next day, expecting them to arrive, they still aren't here :/
and the tracking number doesn't even work! <_<
