So I finally got a few days off work to give it a crack. First job was to tidy the garage out which has caused the lack of progress. This was due to having solar panels fitted on the house and emptying the loft.
Got that done and then fitted the new engine and gearbox mounts fitted and dropped the engine in.
Got the wrong size sodding bolts for the mounting arms and for the ruddy engine mount so job for tomorrow

That's the reason it's a lil wonky

Haha I wanted to go turbo but I seriously want this running for next summer! Just hope I don't regret it!

Not sure if anyone's genuinely interested but thought I'd share some of my electrical sketches for mainly the rear of the car. They've been made a little simpler as I'm teaching a friend the basics so I'm pretty sure some of you guys will spot some missing things etc such as flasher unit before anyone tries to catch me out ;)

Also few bits arrived earlier

Timing belt kit
Water pump
Track rod ends
Rocker gasket
Gasket maker
Wishbones

And finished the other hub

Mate welding cage plates in

Got all the rear plates welded, wasn't nice with some of the underseal catching fire in the arches haha!
Was feeling a little helpless tonight with the welding getting done. Very happy with the welding even though my mate reckoned he was struggling with his helmet playing up although I can't fault it haha

Watsons springs, new arms and pins fitted all to ensure perfect fit. Fitted very snugly :)
Upgraded the side mount bolts to m8's with some decent strength bolts

Not much to do frame wise. Just need the engine sat right, get the lower mounts on and trim the crossmember then I can get it off and blasted and recoated
