When he says something along the lines of ''I need. To mow it!''... Reply with ''what? Like I need to repair my car?''

Calls are 30p now I think ;)Hand him 20p and tell him to "******* off and call someone that gives a ****!"
I wouldn't go too over the top but you do have every right to do what you during the day. If it was 8am every weekend morning that's probably too much. A bit of consideration and discussion goes a long way.
Just be grateful you are not in Germany. You are not allowed to chane your oil at home (you have to go to special places if you want to do it yourself), and you can't wash your car at home - ever! They are really **** hot on stuff like this, and you can't make noise on a Sunday - shops don't open (just cafes, restaurants and petrol stations), you can't put washing out on a Sunday and you can't mow your lawn among other things.

And she has teenage kids one of our boy racer friends came round music blasting loud exhaust at 12 noon and she came out saying she was trying to get her kids to sleep!
Lol
She's come out moaning a few times over noise, where she not so politely got told where to go. Next thing she's watching me pull off my drive and stopping me because I've got no seatbelt on I'm like u ain't even on duty love!
So next time she's on duty she sees our car n pulls us while my mrs driving accusing her of speeding! Her reply u got any camera or radar on ya car?? No?? Stop harassing us then before it comes bk on you!
Never had another problem apart from the glares

Before doing anything you need to speak to 2 people..
1/ The company/person you rent from ask what their noise policy is and what is acceptable / unacceptable. An angle grinder isn't worth losing your home over.
2/ Local environmental health, ask what their policy is, it may differ from the rental companys. Tell them what you are doing and get their advice.
Saying screw him and going gung ho could get you banned from using tools at your address, or having restrictions put on you.

Many people are much more willing to accept a bit of noise next door if pre-warned about when and for how long, there is nothing worse than inviting family or friends around only to find next door start angle grinding all afternoon without any warning, also if you are a shift worker trying to sleep or have a young baby or child................

I find the personal misunderstanding in these situautions more uncomfortable than anything else so i like to 'enlighten' both myself and others to the situation
It that doesn't work, find out your rights and use them as you choose

its only a small drive lol about 6 cars squeezed in sorta size lol
Is that all your drive or shared? I have to say I'd be none too happy if someone was using an angle grinder in close proximity to my car parked on a shared parking area.
