Exeter? Bramall Motors - EX4 1AJ (a Google search brings up their old address).

Ask for Wendy. Can't guarantee she'll be the one working on your Mini, but their rebuild quality is concourse.

Thanks for all the help so far its greatfully received.
Does the road salt really impact on the wiring so much?
The leaking windows or doors would ruin me as it would be a daily drive, without a garage.
Just dont want to sell my reliable little fiesta and regret it.
I do love the thought of a daily mini and so does the missis.
Heart or head???

I know what you mean. My previous car before the mini was a Megan, (i owned old minis after passing my test years back, then after one mini getting burned out by the garage!...i bought modern cars). I came back to minis a few years ago because i just loved them. I use my mini as a daily drive, and i don't regret it at all. If you love minis, all the little issues are worth it i reckon.

I went down today to have a chat, really nice people, and surprisingly left happier about the state of my car!
Thanks very much for the recommend, I will definitely be giving them a go!

All that salty water coming through the grill and spraying around the engine bay causes galvanic corrosion at the connectors, and as we found, any other location such as a hole on the insulatipn. Result -wire fails in a fuzz of green. Also, the beautiful rocker box in shiny chrome is corroded to Hell (a town near Trondheim, Norway) and back. Now mini winter driving is replaced by Series Land Rover with new galvanised chassis.

I use mini 97' MPI as a daily and I love it.
I need to replace the sills, patch the floor, reskim drivers door, a panels, wings and the front panel... apart from that not a lot
If its been restored then it should be ok but check all mechanics etc
