In a few weeks i turn 40 O_O and Mrs B has said i need to stop listening to radio 1 as i'm not a teenager any more

i still like the music and banter on the day time shows and if i were to switch station to something more with in keeping of my age group what ?

Mrs B likes the local station but i can't stand the adverts it's 50-50 between music and adds

classical music is just a irritating noise to me and radio 2 just plays really old music for people like my dad

BBC radio Cornwall is what my gran has on and i'm not at all interested if Mrs Trembeth has found her cat Tiddles yet

what do you other soon to be old gits listen to ?

Capital or RADIO 2

I find the radio 1 dj's more and more irritating - talk about love the sound of your own voice - me myself and I

That was my opinion of too, but have you actually listened to Radio 2 recently though??

I started listening to it by accident about a year or so ago and discovered that it basically seemed to be playing the same stuff that Radio 1 was about 15 years ago, probably because it has pretty much the same DJ's that Radio 1 had 15 years ago as well. :P

Radio 1 has great banter, it's on all day everyday at my work. My dad hates Radio 1, he listens to gem...

Hmm, in the car I listen to either Radio 2, Radio 4 (for the comedy in the evenings), or Classic FM and I'm only 28!! >_< (They're pretty much the only ones I can get in the car though...)

At home I love 6Music, great music but not as much banter, and it's DAB-only..

the really old gits at work love their radio 2 but it drives me mad

in the morning they have the god hour where the vicar of somewhere tell us we are all sinners and should go to church every Sunday and around lunch time they have yapping hour that seems to go for 2 hours

Steve Wright's show is the same one i used to listen to 15 years ago, i'm not sure if it's live or he's retired and just plays old tapes with gaps for them to insert the latest news

Absolute Radio when going to and from work. Good selection of music and not that much talking, unless it's the Breakfast or Home time Show...

I hate Chris Moyles, but I still listen to him because I hate adverts, and I can't bring myself to switch to radio 2 and Chris Evens is no better (although he has some lovely cars)

The rest of the day Radio 1 is fine, but they do seem to have a very small play list and sometimes I hear the same song 3 or 4 times!

Listen to both Radio 1 and Radio 2, which one, depends on the time of day.

Hate Chris Moyles, it's all me, me, me with the gobsh*te. I like Chris Evans, he plays some good tunes and has the banter as well.

I feel that I'm liking Radio 1 less and less, too much chat and arsein' about, not enough descent music either, the majority seems to be r&b/boyband carp . But, having said that, I am 44 =]

I leave mine on radio 4, it's not very exciting during the day but there are some really funny panel shows and comedies in the evenings :)

Be careful bungle, if you stray from the original tuning on your radio you may have to get an IVA done on it to keep its identity >_<
