i gave up was just fed up lol think I've sorted it but battery flat now bloody thing haha

sort of lol sorry for the wrong names here the thing that slids up and down was stuck down so i free'ed it up with plently of engine oil and moving back and forth and now its running when driving it wont go over 3000 without back firing through the carb could this be becuase i put 20w50 in the dashpot oil because i had nothink else ???

Do you mean the carb piston was stuck Danny? The fact you have 20w50 in the dashpot is no problem at all. But if you had a siezed carb piston, I'd be whipping it all apart and making sure it's perfect in there, it needs to move totally smoothly.

ya thats was it ya i freed it all up and ran a dream but has started back firing at 3000 revs will take it out later and see if it is sticking

Well it would make sense to make sure this is sorted perfectly first, as you've already had trouble with it. Then go into the ignition timing and check the plugs etc. Look on the bright side, it lives to fight another day :D

well went halfords for spark plugs and it ended like this me in the white under it the driver bottom ball joint fell out the bottom arm the nut must have worked its way loose all fixed.now

Sounds like it may be an inlet leak or timing

i replaced all gaskets on carb and timing woundnt have changed would.it
