im a computer tech and i had BT and Sky! i would us bt out of those too but i would go with virgin media! its worth checking is sky had fiber optic in your area yet

Every major UK ISP has been court ordered to block The Pirate Bay, it's not just Sky. Not that it matters that they've blocked it anyway.

Sky is terrible hear, about 200kbps. So so bad. Just depends where you are.

That is most likely a limitation imposed by your line. How far are you from your exchange?

We had sky for a few years. On the plus side the actual connection was stable but on the downside there were some massive slowdowns (dial up speeds anyone?) and the router needed resetting daily at the end. We ended up switching to talk talk (my mums nuts ) and they have been more consistent but slower overall. To be honest its swings and roundabouts, isps are a bit like insurance companies, expensive and irritating.

i work for sky and there bb is equally as good as all the other major providers! apart from virgin they all on a bt exchange, I've just got sky fibre and I'm getting 39mbps!

what are you using your internet for? if you pm me i have friends and family offers at present!
