Finally got my 10 inch wheels fitted tonight. after a laborious process waiting for minilite to manufacture these wheels.
wheels are 10 x 6 genuine minilite with an offset of - 15. This was crucial to fill out my "bullet" arches. previous wheels where 13 x 7 superlights and as good as they looked, they were harsh, heavy and tram lined a fair bit, they were very direct and responsive however. Maybe this was in part due to cheap (SIME) tyres.

Anyway my mini now feels like the car it wanted to be. I will need to run the tyres in a little before i can report what I think. but the tentative conclusion is they are great. The ride quality has been totally transformed due to the higher side wall. The feel a little "squisshy" compared to the 13 x7s, but i will get use to that.

Brake wise i droped to a set of Cooper s (ish) minisport 4 pots. Still a bit spongy but starting to feel a bit better.

Biggest Pro though is the retroish look they have given my mini.

Enjoy....

Is it a lot of work! I've got a sportspack, but would prefer smaller wheels if it's possible

They look great 'minisilverbullet', glad to see you have now joined me in the deep dish 6x10 ET-15 offset Minilite Mk 11 club, up to now rarely seen outside the Japanese Mini scene. As you say a Mini drives so much better with 10's back on........just like Alec Issigonis originally intended!

You can order them direct from Tech Del manufacturers of genuine Minilites in the UK, but you have to mention you want the Minilite Mk 11 6x10 alloys with deeper dish ET-15 offset and wait until next batch are made for export to Japan if not in stock. Most of the re-sellers like Minispares only sell the standard UK spec and don't stock the export type which are very expensive in Japan.

10 inch 4,5 width best handling any mini can get.The 90s minis only had the wide wheels for looks, handling on them is rubbish.
