I remember I wrapped it in a duvet so it wouldn't smash ?

Where did you get your ht leads from ?

well done!, mine was pretty much the same, its amazing what you can acheive with a bit of hard graft, a tin of paint and some shiny bits!!

How did you get your radiator all shinny and gold ? Is that underneathe the current paint ?

it must be an early radiator, it has a brass top, it was painted black (but a lot of it had flaked off) so i removed the rest of the paint and spent ages polishing it!
