I don't know exactly where you mean lol but it's not too big of a place is it.

For you to get to Cannock Chase you would head to Wolverhampton - then sort of north from there. Get the idea?.

The distance in the picture is fine, enough room for the speaker to vent but not overly tall.

I used some silent coat deadening to cover the insides. makes it more rigid and adds mass to make it non resenant. flashing tape is a cheap alternative.

but with the speaker it was crazy heavy lol i think about 2kg's a piece

Figured out how to put the newly acquired boot kit together.. Box for a 8'' sub too with built in box terminals! :D

Bargain at 20 quid for the lot

And put my dash together properly with the help of some washers because the screw just wouldnt go in far enough haha so had to space it out, looks mint I think

Plan for tomorrow is to put the heater back in and then place center console and dash in to see what fitment is like

Cheers!

Hmm.. What would be the best 8incher for that box? Could a 10 squeeze in there or is box too small?

Yes a 10 should fit in there no problem.
What's the boxes capacity?
It will need sound deadening by the way.

Morning,

It's a 20 litre box, specs can be found here: LINK

It's designed with "fitting in the space" in mind rather than box size - but as Ruckus said add some sound dampening to the box and you will be fine.

Hope that helps

you'll want to seal up those speaker wire holes in the pods once you've got the speakers in.

But don't use silcon sealant with the speaker in place. Let is set fully then put the speaker in place.

The fumes it gives off as it sets can attack the rubber surround on speakers.
I've seen a subwoofer fall to bits due to this.

What sound dreading do you mean exactly? As in dynamat stuff inside the box? :s

Nope line the box with wadding sheeting (sheets of cotton wool type stuff) - it creates the illusion that the box is bigger than it really is, so a bigger sub will work in a box designed for smaller subs.

Our new website will be going live soon and it does include more info regarding getting the most out of theses kits.

(Lining your boot with the dynamat will also help though).

Thanks
