My club stand was literally right next to the mini forum stand!

I came over to say hello later on in the night, asked about a few of the cars if they could point me to the owners but they just looked at me and responded to me as if I was a mentalist >_<

It was really great to see everyone and meet some new people too. I'll echo what shifty said about the show going really smoothly. Camping makes MITP brilliant!

Arrived at Santa Pod at 10.15 only to be directed into the main car park along with lots of other Minis because the Mini only parking area was ‘full’. Minis in the Park? With a Ford Galaxy one side of me and a VW Polo the other side I could have been in Tesco’s car park! Disappointed.

Then when I got to the Mini only parking there was lots of available space. What was that all about?

And why do they insist on putting Minis and MINIs together? There is nothing worse than seeing a line of parked classic Minis only for the image to be ruined by a MINI being stuck in the middle. Don’t they realise that the only thing these cars share is the name and should be parked separately.

It got better after that!

Shame Nick Warwick had to turn back & didnt make it, hope you got your car sorted now.
Oh & cheers to the guy on the A1 in the Bini cooper on the way home for letting me out to overtake, dont think you expected me to keep up with for so long

I had big problems about 50 miles into the drive down. I thought it was my carb icing up again but i am not too sure, i turned around and limped towards mansfield when it gave up and wouldn't start again.

Hope you all had a good time anyway! i drowned my sorrows back home haha.

Really enjoyed it, only problem I had was that it became 'too hot' Sunday afternoon, all I could be bothered to do half the time was sit in the shade of the car with the windows down. Oh, and I did remember my tent, sleeping bag, pillows... forgot the matress though! Not the most comfortable of nights but I managed to get 5 hours in.

We were camped near to the TMF campers, didn't say hello, beer and bbq were in full swing at our camping area. Didn't see your stand in the show though.

Uploading my pictures now, didn't take too many though.

definately a great show although dissapointing that minispares and minisport werent there but still managed to get quite a few bits. the entertainment factor on the day was great with the stuntshows and drag racing, theres nothing like hearing and seeing a jet powered funny car
