mine is a 3 clock you have 2 glove box openings but fitting should be the same, i am try to find photo bucket i will try and upload a photo

Its just wood from the back mate, but its not straight backed, its got 'wings' which are different angles to the centre, see it better here

mmmmmmmmmmmmm weird, looking at it i would fit it between the uper and lower rails , as i have said from the front, not behind, and let the middle where the clocks go sit inside, if you get my drift, you should be able to fix blocks to the back at each end to go behind the rails, this will hold it in place,
fitting it all inside, you are going to have a problem fixing it, and no room for the back of the clocks, this as i have said will put the side angles right, just do a dummy run and see if it works, mine is wedged into the top and bottom rails as the photo
