What would Ebay do if you told them it was not their car to sell? Would it be better to let a sale go through then tell them, at least you'd have a better handle on who buys it than if it was just advertised elsewhere and you might manage to hold up at least some of the cash transfer.

The seller on ebay is a random guy who bought the car from the clamping company. It was also him who claimed the v5. He was told by the clamping company something along the lines they are selling to recover their costs and therefore its all legit or some crap.

He paid £300 to the clampers for it, and claims he has spent a further £200 which is why he wants the £500. I told him not a chance would I pay that much. I'd love to get the car back, I really would. I'll still get the advice, but I'm not holding out too much hope.

It's all just so frustrating. The car was taken within a few hours and I couldnt get anything confirmed from anyone or anything and the Police weren't interested. The company are scum, and there has been many reported things about them on the internet. I can't even remember their name now to be honest.

All just a giant pain in the arse. The guy who currently owns it, in reality, hasn't done anything wrong. All I can tell you from this, is that I would never buy such a car because it simply isnt worth it.

As for the £500 to someone on here, I actually had it on ebay with no reserve when it was taken. It made around £230 quid so there is not a chance anyone will pay £500 for it.

Well this is likely the final update on this. I have spoken to him, and he has agreed to get the wheels back to me (and they its worded, at his expense). He claims that he went to the Police and by not going back to the clamping company for the car, I gave up rights of ownership. Unfortunately, I cannot get any legal advice at the moment - I think the lawyers have been on Easter leave.

I'm not even angry at him. Just the clamping company. I will look into it further when I get back, to see if anything can be done against them simply because they are bastards by all accounts. This guy hasn't really done anything wrong in all fairness.

At least I get my wheels back.

Find out the name and location of the company so we can all gang up and be extremely annoying to the clampers. We can turn up on mass and park all over the clampers territory, making our own mini meet in the process! :D And clam our own wheels so they can't get us
