I'll give skeggy a miss as its down the road from me haha. I would like to go somewhere I havent been before. I have family in norfolk and essex so have been there. I quite like the idea of going to the lakes and on to loch ness, was also thinking lands end but it'll be one or the other as quite a trek to both. Hmm lakes, loch ness, john 'o' groats as long as its not raining!

As long as it's not raining!!.... Are you mad??

It hardly ever stops raining in Scotland at the best of times, but in case it's escaped your attention, we are currently having one of the wettest summers on record!!.... Of course it's going to rain!!...

So get yourself on a ferry, over to the continent and along to Amsterdam via Antwerp instead....... you know it makes sense!!

But if you don't fancy that. I've always planned a coastal run, you know sun sea sand etc, but more like rain, rain and mud.

I've only ever stopped briefly in Antwerp but Brugge on the way on trip was awesome. The trip is a lot easier than you think & a lot more fulfilling. Eurotunnel is only £29 one way for a weekend break at the mo. Safe & happy travels my internet friend!

Years ago, my best mate had the same issue. Split with his girlfriend the day before he went on a weeks holiday. He went home, grabbed his coat, his credit card, got in his R5 Turbo and drove to Switzerland.... in January. Let's just say he had some adventures...
Cheers
Ian
