Hey guys,

On the other side of the pond you may not know it but the Canadian dollar is tanking hard!

With that said Ive decided to remove the fiberglass front and go all metal! Ill have to wait for more cash or the dollar to recover.

Until then Ive got the engine back on a stand. Ive got time to understand this more and remove the carbon. Its not a rebuild but Ill make sure I understand whats going on with my mechanic friends and from this point we will put the engine back on the MTB frame and make the mini roll by summer.

But it looks like she wont be road worthy until 2017 due to funds and a new kitchen install!!! not my choice.

engine apart as well.

 

Cleaning and all looks great so Im not putting much cash into this area at all.

Guys,

 

Is there such a thing as a too close of a gap?

 

The metal isnt touching so the paint shouldnt scratch.

No idea what happened to half my build thread but here is where Im at.  Ive read about the gaps in the front panels and this is a nightmare. More to follow.

As I keep inspecting the car I still have an issue with the door dropping a little when I open it. Ive stiffened behind the A panel however Im confident its the hinges. Perhaps wear.

Is there a fix for this that does not include buying new hinges?

Finally fixed that right door gap.

 

Moving to the front end tomorrow.

Well Im back.

 

The door gap has moved back into place it seems.  For the worse and I can't seem to line the front end at all.  Here are the pics of the front.  Seems so close yet so far away.

 

Any guidance would be great.

Doesn't work for me! All I see is this. It doesn't help that the Photobucket page literally has 10 ads to load!
