A Month is bull-locks.

most I've ever had to wait is 3 days... by the way I'm an IT and Coms Manager I do stuff like this everyday. The only difference is i deal with Corporate services...

well i hope i doesnt take that long

Also do you deal with pay as you go?
What happens with payment with that?

Well I've advised colleagues and friends and help them thought the process.

The last one I sort for a colleagues was a second-hand O2 iPhone 3GS.

In a Local O2 shop he explained what he wanted to do, they sold him a pay as you go Sim with a £20 top up. 24 hours with the PAG SIM in and it was unlocked...

well ive got my new sim i put it in and i dont get any signal,
what shall i do leave that sim in my phone?

right i want to get a sim only plan from 3 as they do a really good deal for £10,
im currently on orange how can i tell if my phone is unlocked to other networks?~

i tried the gfs tesco sim in mine and i just got 1 bar and nothing happened :/

but when i have my orange sim in and click carrier in settings it shows orange, t mobile, 02 :/

Try any other GSM network in your Iphone3G. If it accepts then your Iphone 3G is unlocked . if not your phone is locked with current network provider.
